On Saturday we had our first VEX competition. In the finals we scored 71 points and got 3rd place. We are glad that we got a good score.

I worked on motorizing the lift and connecting the tower to the lift. It was hard brainstorming our robot. It has been more complicated to build than I thought.

The claw robot did not work so we made three designs the elevator ,teeter totter and the crab, The crab won the vote . Right now we are working out the kinks.

The claw we made was not very good at lifting the cubes so our team decided to make an elevator to lift it up and down. My job was to attach the elevator to the H drive. I made two towers and attached them to the end of the H drive. Then I added two posts to the bottom so I could attach the elevator from the bottom to the top. Then I put a post to the top to attach it from there. You can see the robot in action in this video.
